Carol A. Campbell 73, of rural Gays, Illinois, passed away at 5:58 AM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.
She was born July 6, 1949 in Mattoon, Illinois the daughter of Milton and Doris J. (Huffman) McKinney. Carol was the Owner/Operator of Campbell Construction in rural Gays, Illinois. She was a former member of Teamsters Local 26 of Champaign, Illinois and she enjoyed spending winters in Webster, Florida and watching hummingbirds.
Carol is survived by her significant other, Charles "Andy" Butt of rural Gays, Illinois; son, Scott A. Beal (Terri) of Mason, Illinois; stepson, Allen Campbell (Terrie) of Milton, Florida; step daughter, Sherry Hall (Randy) of rural Gays, Illinois; step daughter in law, Leah Campbell-Jenkins (John) of Charleston, Illinois; brothers, Keith McKinney (Linda) of Montrose, Illinois and Lyle McKinney of Montrose, Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents; step son, Steve Campbell; and her special canine companion Maxx.

As per Carol’s wishes Cremation Rites were accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, March 16, 2023 in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
