Charles “Chuck” Wiercioch, 73, of Effingham, formerly of Bloomingdale and Chicago, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital in Mattoon with his loving wife by his side.
In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.

Chuck was born on February 6, 1950, in Evanston, Illinois, the son of Eugene and Clara (Dhom) Wiercioch. He is survived by Karen (Kehoe) Wiercioch, his wife of 44 years. They were married in Bensenville, Illinois, on May 6, 1978.
Chuck spent his career as a project engineer in the Chicago area. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening, and nature. He was very creative and spent his free time painting artwork and woodworking. He was a passionate Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
