Jack D. Fender, 74, of Edgewood entered eternal rest at 10:45 AM Sunday, May 19, 2013 in his home.
A memorial service, with Rev. Judy Poe officiating, will be 10 AM Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Full Gospel Church, Edgewood. Military rites by the Edgewood American Legion post #1168 and Altamont American Legion post #512 will be conducted. Memorials are requested to the Humane Society or E.A.R.S. Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood is assisting with arrangements.
Jack was born on December 4, 1938 in Blair Twp., Clay Co., IL the son of Darrell A. and Florence E. (Prather) Fender. He married Judy D. Riggs on May 17, 1958 at Champaign, IL and she preceded him in death on September 26, 2004. He was a retired apartment building maintenance engineer. Jack was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and member of the Edgewood American Legion Post #1168.
Surviving are his daughter; Tammy (John) Lawless of Edgewood, grandsons; Nicholas Brosseau of West Palm Beach, FL and Shane Ramos of Altamont, and great grandson; Peyton Lee Brosseau at home.
In addition to his wife, Jack was preceded by his parents and brother; Jerry Fender.
