Bunny Mae Sparks (73) of Toledo

Bunny Mae Sparks, 73, of Toledo, IL. went to meet her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 4:40 am at her residence, surrounded by her loving family holding her hands and reading her favorite Scriptures to her and singing songs of praise.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday July 1, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL.

Bunny was born on September 12, 1948, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Vernon “Bun” and Georgianna (Czerwonka) Ray.

She is survived by her daughters, Kami (fiancé George Hensley) Shoot and Aimee (Chris) Snelgrove; brothers, Jerry Ray and Bob (Sue) Ray; sisters Rose (Denny) Easton, and Becky (Ira) May; grandchildren, Kelsey Beals, Sabrina Russell, Katie Lewis, Bryar Hardiek, Bo Hardiek, Cody Hardiek, Kayla Anderson, Kyler Rogers, Niki Malloch, Oliver Snelgrove, Anna Snelgrove and Jodi Workman; and numerous great- grandchildren, and bonus grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, nephew, Brian Clark Ray, and niece Niki Carter, and great-grandchild Seith Paul.

Bunny spent most of her career as a long - haul truck driver, for over 20 years, with her husband Charlie Sparks, trucking from coast to coast making lifelong friends along the way. She had many friends and neighbors that loved her dearly and often stopped by to sit on the porch with her. She was an avid mushroom hunter and if there were any mushrooms in the woods, she would be the one to find them.
