Dana E. Workman, 65, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away at 8:13 PM Friday, June 10, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois, with Fr Mark Stec celebrating mass.  Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin, Illinois, with military rites. Visitation will be held 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2022, at the church and 1 hour before the mass. Dana Edward was born on October 3, 1956 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Garlin Dean and Mary Ellen (McKnelly) Workman. He was a graduate from Clay City High School, class of 1974. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Dana married Deborah Rauch on May 13, 1989 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, and she survives.

Dana was an over the road truck driver for many years, traveling the United States. He and Deborah are the owners of Cottonwood Creek Trucking in Louisville, Illinois. He enjoyed riding his Harley and Old 359 Peterbilt semis. He loved the outdoors, farming and raising cattle. 

Dana is survived by-Wife of 33 years – Deborah Workman of Louisville, Illinois; 4 Children – Austin wife Kaycee Workman of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, Walker Workman of Louisville, Illinois, Benjamin Workman of Ft. Branch, Indiana and Clare Workman of Olney, Illinois; 2 Grandchildren – Austin and Raynee of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; Father – Garlin Dean Workman of Louisville, Illinois; Sister – Kimberly Travis of Clay City, Illinois; Mother-in-law – Ruth Rauch of Newton, Illinois.

Dana was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ellen Workman and his father-in-law Harold Rauch.
