Liz L. Strange, 33, of St. Elmo, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at New Horizons Church, St. Elmo with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bonaventure Cemetery, rural St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the St. Bonaventure Cemetery Fund. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family.

Elizabeth Lacey Strange was born on Monday, April 3, 1989 at St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley, IL to Deborah Kay (O’Dell) and Francis Cody Strange. Liz had a love for caring for animals especially her chickens and goats. She was an avid gardener and took pride in landscaping her yard. She enjoyed fishing and shopping and was a beautiful artist.

She leaves behind her best friend and love of life, Dallas Durbin of St. Elmo; stepson, Aaron Durbin; two grandchildren, Amara and Addie; mother, Deborah Strange of Port Charlotte, FL; brother, James Willett, II of Columbia City, IN; sister, Alexandria Strange of Port Charlotte, FL; niece, Nizhoni  Willett of Columbia City, IN; nephew, Elijah Fira of Port Charlotte, FL; her best friend, Binky; and many friends and extended family. We are extremely saddened by Elizabeth’s passing and she will be laid to rest with her father, Cody now where they will be both at peace together.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfather Bear Herron; and grandmothers, Patricia Herron and Trula Joy Strange.
