Lloyd L. Durbin, 85, of Stewardson, IL, passed away at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2022 in his residence.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to HSHS Hospice of Effingham, IL.

Lloyd was born September 2, 1936 in St. Elmo, IL, the son of Lewis P. and Bernice Holding Durbin. He attended Shelbyville High School and was a member of the Class of 1954. Lloyd married Mary L. Williams on January 30, 1955 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, near Shelbyville, IL. He worked for Thermogas in Shelbyville, sold cars for Beals Ford and Springer Chevrolet both in Stewardson and retired as Road Commissioner for Richland Twp. Lloyd was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church and was a certified Lay Speaker. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio and went by the handle of “Cowboy”.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Brad Durbin of Strasburg, IL; daughter, Brenda Reynolds (Steve) of Stewardson, IL; and Lori Dailey (Kevin) of Janesville, IL; brothers, Fred Durbin (Pauline) of Strasburg, IL, David Durbin (Clara Ann) of Effingham, IL, Gary Durbin (Deanna) of Mattoon, IL; sisters, Freida Juhnke of Effingham, IL, Marilyn Kessler (Kenneth) of Stewardson, IL, and Patricia Reed (Mike) of Stewardson, IL; grandchildren, Brooke Reynolds Lister and Joshua Shirley; and great grandchildren, Jennifer, Aiden & Gabe Lister.
