Rose Williams (92) of Toledo

Rose Marie Williams, 92, of Toledo, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday,  April 19, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, Altamont with Leroy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rose was born on Sunday, August 25, 1929 in Altamont, IL to Virgil G. and Myrtle (Larimer) Higgs. She married Harold Hovis and then later married Robert Dean Williams and both preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Altamont.

She is survived by; her sons, Albert (Sharon) Higgs, Altamont, Virgil Dale Hovis, Altamont, James Allen (Lana) Hovis, Altamont, Randal Hovis, Altamont, Gary Dean (Mary) Hovis, Cowden, Charles Robert (Susan) Williams, Brownstown and Scott Anthony Williams, Toledo; daughters, Reba Geller, Toledo, Joyce Elaine Williams, Findlay, Lynn Dale (Paul) Pugsley, Cowden and Christine Nell Donaldson, Toledo; 128 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Barb Hovis, Watson.

In addition to her parents and husbands; she was preceded in death by; her son, Jerry Hovis; daughter, Tonya Cathey; siblings; Irene Tucker, Louella Goldsborough, Ruth Boaz, Wayne, Jake and Pete Higgs; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Newton, Brad Hovis and Charles Williams, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Chloe West and great-great-granddaughter, Azlyn Kollman.
