Janet L. Cook, age 75 of St. Peters, MO, peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter Vonda Kemna and her husband Robert Kemna of St. Peters, MO, her daughter Roseann Ambrester of Virginia Beach, VA, and her step-son Mike Cook of Ingraham, IL; her brother Terry Headlee of Caulfield, MO and her half brother and sister, Sonny and Bonnie Headlee. She also leaves behind 6 plus grandchildren, Trisha Mertens and husband Heath, Cristofer Gandolfo and girlfriend Erinn, Jason Ambrester, Brandy Fohey and husband Austin, Garrett Ambrester, and Benjamin Kemna and his girlfriend Jessie.

She also will miss her 10 amazing great-grandchildren who called her “GG.”

Preceding her in death is her daughter Reba Lynn Golden, her father Jesse Lee Headlee of Wheeler, IL, her mother Pearl Ann Franklin (Flowers) of Aurora, IL, one brother Jesse Lee Headlee Jr and two sisters Mary Donaldson and Reta Headlee.

Janet loved to spend her time breeding Yorkies and loved all dogs, but her favorite Yorkie of all was her pet Coco, a gift from her brother Terry.

Per Janet’s request, she will have a private service for immediate family only but wanted to invite all other loved ones to her graveside service at Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, IL, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.
