Carolyn Moomaw (87) of Stewardson

Carolyn Moomaw, 87, of Stewardson, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

Per Carolyn’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.

Born June 23, 1934 in Mode, IL, Carolyn was the daughter of Clyde and June (Thompson) Bly. She was a member of Stewardson United Methodist Church, Stewardson, IL, where she played the organ for many years. She also enjoyed decorating and spending time with family and friends.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Mark (Janice) Moomaw of Stewardson, IL; grandsons, Adam (Regan) Moomaw of Sullivan, IL and Zach Moomaw of Chicago, IL; great-grandsons, Owen, Abram and Cameron Moomaw of Sullivan, IL; sisters, Roberta Workman of Effingham, IL and Janet (Jim) Lowe of Newton, IA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Grant Moomaw; and granddaughter, Kristin Moomaw.
