Ginger Lee (Auteberry) Turner, age 57, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 6:37 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 14, 2021, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with David McConnell officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery east of Rose Hill, Illinois. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In loving memory of Ginger, memorials may be made to the family. Ginger was born on March 25, 1964, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of John Carl and Rose May (Dow) Auteberry, Sr. Ginger was a certified nurse’s assistant and worked in area hospitals and nursing homes, caring for patients. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Effingham, Illinois. Ginger enjoyed camping and walking her dog, Rocco.

Ginger is survived by: Siblings – Linda Kay (Charles) Carlson, Mina Marie Cox, Charles (Marge) Auteberry, Barbara (Dale) Berry, Carlotta Barbee, Danny Auteberry, Jeannie (Jim) Hartke, Lynnette (Chipper) Fugate, Rose Marie (Ben) Ruholl and Terri Kay (Mike) Asbell.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Auteberry, Jr. and Steve Auteberry, and sisters Judy Stevens and Neva Auteberry.
