John Parker, 62, of Kinmundy died at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy. Visitation willl be Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. He will be buried in Sandy Branch Cemetery, rural Kinmundy. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.jwneal.funeralhome.net.
John was born March 21, 1951 in Mattoon, the son of John Wesley and Mary (Pauley) Parker, Sr. He married Vicki Storck July 30, 1975 in Mount Vernon. He was am Army veteran of Vietnam. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad and Henne Oilfield Construction of Salem.
Survivors include sons, Albert 'Andy' (wife Traci) Parker of Fairfield, Noah Parker of Farina and Dylan Parker of Kinmundy; sisters, Marcia Jones of Louisville and Jean Parker of Kinmundy; aunt, Ellen Pergl of Salem; uncles, Kenneth Parker of Alma, Leonard Parker of Salem, Oliver Pauley of Humboldt and Leonard Pauley of Mattoon; nephews, Eric, Wayne, Justin and Roger Jones and Daniel Parker; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Shane, Danny Parker of Salem, Alexis, Johnathon, Andrew Parker of Fairfield and Serenity Parker of Farina and one great-grandchild, Aiden Wright of Salem.
