Catherine Ann Alsip, 74, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at home with loving family by her side.
Catherine was born on November 6, 1946, in Joliet, the daughter of Forrest and Catherine (Ferguson) Miner. She married Terry Alsip on July 20, 1968, and they were blessed with 53 years of marriage. Catherine worked as a CNA in Hawthorne Inn Assisting Living and she also worked for the Shelby Inn retiring in 2007. Catherine enjoyed her time working and reading romantic novels.
She will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Terry Alsip of Shelbyville; three children: Nick (Mari) Alsip of Joliet, Terry Alsip Jr. of Shelbyville and Melissa (Bob) Farrell of Joliet; seven grandchildren: Brittany, Tori, Matt, Cody, Katelyn, Robert Jr., and Alejandro; two great-grandchildren: Ayden and Logan; sister, Marg (Jess) Hovis of Joliet and brother-in-law, Doug Hanson of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Mary, Dee and Connie.
The Alsip family would like to extend their gratitude to Erin B. for her attentiveness and loving care.
A gathering to celebrate Catherine’s life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the Shelbyville Manor and Hawthorne Inn in Shelbyville. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
