April S. Kautzner, 76, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Advent Health Hospital in Winter Park, FL.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Effingham. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, IL. Please wear a mask for all services and practice social distancing guidelines.

April was born on April 20, 1945, in The Dalles, OR, the daughter of Rev. William E. and Esther Craig. She married Ronald Kautzner on March 25, 1967, in St. Louis, MO, and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2015.
April was an amazing mother and grandmother who had a heart of gold. She had a love for animals and a soft spot for dogs. April enjoyed gardening, making quilts, and reading. She also found joy camping with family and traveling with her husband, Ron. April had a giving personality and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Masters Chapter in Effingham.
April is survived by her daughter, Karen (Darren) Feldkamp of Altamont; son, Daniel Kautzner of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Kyle (Taylor) Feldkamp, Katelyn (fiancé, Eli Petersen) Feldkamp, and Sydney Feldkamp; great-grandchildren, Roy and Hank Feldkamp; sisters, Nan Seale of Portland, OR and Terry Ann Edele (Terry) of O’Fallon, MO; and one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron; and beloved dog, Max.
