Paulajean “Paula” Mosher, 82 of Effingham, passed away on Saturday morning, April 20th at Effingham Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.

Funeral services for Paula will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church in Effingham. Visitation is from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Effingham. Paula was born on July 2, 1930 in Spring Valley, Illinois, the daughter of George and Florence (Conway) Rettig. Paula spent her early years in Peoria, Illinois. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School, graduating from the Academy of Our Lady in 1948. She worked for St. Francis Hospital and later the Great Central Insurance Company. Paula married Charles Mosher on September 1, 1951 at the Sacred Heart Church in Peoria and they moved to Effingham in 1953.

Paula is survived by her 3 sons; Craig (wife, Debbie) of Effingham, Bradley (special friend, Mary Ann Holland) of Lisle, Illinois, and Scott (wife, Kathy) Mosher of Effingham, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 3 step grandchildren, and 5 step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
