Frank Thurston Woodall, Jr., 74, of Chidester, Arkansas, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in his residence.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Bluff City Cemetery, Bluff City, AR. Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Frank was born on April 12, 1947 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Frank and Opal (Forcum) Woodall. He graduated from Cowden High School in the Class of 1965 and later from Lake Land College. Frank worked for Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company for many years and also served as Chief of Police in Strasburg and Sigel. He had multiple interests from woodworking to gunsmithing and was a “Jack of all trades and master of most”. He was a believer in God and loved fishing, hunting and mostly hunting wild hogs. He married Dollie (Potts) Riblet on May 26, 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Dollie; children, David Riblet (Carrie) of El Reno, OK, Darci Merritt (Ben) of Waurika, OK, Vanessa Cloe (Ryan) of Bloomington, IN and Frank Woodall, III of Effingham, IL; grandchildren, Cody and Shawn Riblet, Kayleigh and Loralei Merritt, Ashlyn and Carsyn Cloe, and Keagan Woodall; great grandson, Ryan Riblet; sister, Susie Holland (Brick) of Shelbyville, IL: brothers-in-law, Eldridge Potts, Elvis Potts and Doug Potts (Beverly); and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Opal Woodall and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cecil and Edna Potts.
