Billy M. Hayden (83) of Greenup

Billy M. Hayden, age 83, of Greenup, IL passed away at 4:22 pm on Wednesday September 22, 2021, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bill was born to John and Olive (Carver) Hayden on October 3, 1937, in Timothy, IL. Survivors include sons, Rick (Anita) Hayden of Greenup, IL and Dustin (Michelle) Hayden of Casey, IL; grandchildren, Makenzie (Hayden) Reynolds, Evan Hayden, Alan Hayden, Sydney Hayden, Olivia Hayden, and Maverin Hayden; step- grandchildren; Macy Collins, Maleah Bauguss, Michela Newlin, Mika Bauguss, and Marly Bauguss.

Bill graduated from Cumberland High School in 1955. He served in the United States Army, was a 64-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and was a retired well known area businessman. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed the winters he spent on South Padre Island in Texas.
