Ramona Brennan, age 82, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 10:09 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, Illinois. Jim Giffin will be officiating. Memorials may go to American Cancer Society or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Ramona was born on October 18, 1938 in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Omer S. and Lola J. (Ogletree) Posey. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, an excellent chef, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, John Michael Brennan (David) of St. Petersburg, Florida, James Patrick Brennan (Sally) of Universal City, Texas and Ryan Brennan of The Carolinas; brothers, James H. Hayes (Karen) of Arizona, Timothy Posey of Paris, Illinois; sisters, Elizabeth Ramsey (Dave) of Edgewood, Illinois, Tammy Lester of Indiana, Teena McCosky (Joe) of Tolono, Illinois, Terri Jean of Illinois; sister-in-law, Sybille Posey of Tennessee; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Omer Posey and Lola Hayes; daughter, Colleen King; brothers, Carl Posey, Thomas Myers; sister, Trudy Davidson.
