Robert Glenn “Bob” “Schatz” McManaway, 93, of Pana, formerly of Cowden, IL, passed away at Prairie Rose Health Care Center in Pana, IL at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the Free Methodist Church of Cowden, IL with Rev. Steve Neville and Rev. Ron Tucker officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mercy Ships or St. Jude Research Hospital for Children. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IL.

Bob was born on December 22, 1927 in Cowden, IL, the son of Andrew Glenn “Banty” and Linza Fern “Linzy” Robertson McManaway. He graduated from Cowden High School in the Class of 1947. Bob then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on September 27, 1950. He married Regina Alma Metzger on March 27, 1954 at the Giebelstadt Air Force Base in Germany. Upon returning from the service, Bob was a farmer and mail carrier in Cowden. His career with the U.S. Post Office took him to Chicago, where he worked in the Bulk Mail Center until his retirement. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Cowden.

He is survived by his wife, Regina; nephew, Gary McManaway (Pam) of Shelbyville, IL: nieces, Marsha McManaway (Joe Wood) of Bend, OR and Carla McManaway (Paul Kujawa) of Longmont, CO; sister-in-law, Mary McManaway of Cowden, IL: five great nephews, Deck McManaway, Kenny McManaway (Jennifer), Ben McManaway (Amanda), Andrew Kujawa and Jack Kujawa; and great great niece and nephews, Vanessa McManaway, Brayden McManaway, Carson McManaway, Reece McManaway and Grant McManaway.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Leslie “L.K.” McManaway.
