Ronald W. and Sally L. Kyle of Shumway passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with burial in Beecher City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Ron was born March 6, 1939 in Shumway, the son of Glen W. and Bessie E. (Dial) Kyle. Sally was born June 18, 1940 in Taylorville, the daughter of Theran and Janie (Durbin) Rand. They were united in marriage on June 20, 1959 and were members of the Beecher City Church of Christ. Ron spent many years farming and later worked at Stillwater Industries in Effingham. Sally was an office deputy with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Department for over thirty years.

Ron and Sally are survived by their children, Troy (Sheryl) of Shumway, Jason (Cheri) of Gonzales, TX, Shannon (Sheila) of Altamont and Alisia (Paul) Gardner of Shumway; seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; Ron’s siblings, Lloyd (Nancy) of Shelbyville, Bill (Diane) of Litchfield, Joe (Kathy) of Veedersburg, IN, Irene Lewis of Lewisville, TX, Bonnie Durbin of Pekin and Shirley Davis of Springfield.

They were preceded in death by their parents; Ron’s siblings, Patricia Kyle, Glenna (Gerald) Flesner and Royal (Lois) Kyle; brothers-in-law, Howard Lewis, Robert Davis and Roland Durbin.
