Delmar Louis Moeller, age 92, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois with a two-hour viewing prior to service. Pastor Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may go to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lutheran Care Center, Alzheimer’s Association, or the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.

Delmar was born on August 29, 1929 in St. Peter, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Lillian (Gabel) Moeller. He married Janice Haynes on September 25, 1958 in St. Peter, Illinois. He was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Delmar served on the school board as well as the town board. He loved mushroom and deer hunting, fishing, square and tap dancing, bowling, spending time with his family and friends, and was an excellent roller skater. Delmar built and worked on several houses in the St. Peter area. On February 14, 2019, he was crowned King at Lutheran Care Center.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Moeller of St. Peter, Illinois; son, Terry Moeller (wife Nancy) of Farina, Illinois; three daughters, Trudy Thompson (husband John) of Vandalia, Illinois, Trieva Henson of St. Peter, Illinois, and Teresa Hinterscher (husband Dave) of Noble, Illinois; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lillian Moeller; brothers, Walter “Butch” Moeller and Willard Moeller; twin sister, Delphine Rubin; sisters, Ruth Hinrichs, Roberta Hinrichs, and Shirley Halverson.
