Andy L. Shull, age 62, of Hidalgo, Illinois, passed away at 3:06 AM Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, Illinois.

Graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Aten Cemetery in Hidalgo, Illinois with Andy Brenton officiating. In loving memory of Andy, memorials may be made to Jasper County Cancer Support Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Andy was born on December 8, 1958, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Burell William and Mary Adelee (Pitcher) Shull. Andy graduated from Newton Community High School in 1977. After high school, he earned his bachelor degree in Agriculture from the University of Illinois. Andy married Jeanne Woods on June 27, 1981, at the First Baptist Church in Newton, Illinois. Andy was a lifelong farmer in Jasper County, passing this love to his sons. He was a member of the Casey Church of Christ. Andy enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing, especially with his grandchildren.

Andy is survived by his wife of 40 years - Jeanne Shull of Hidalgo, Illinois; Children – Tyler (wife Kashytn) Shull of Hidalgo, Illinois; Dr. Caleb (wife Emily) Shull of Newton, Illinois; Jahida (husband Terry) Neal of Effingham, Illinois; Abby Shull of Olney, Illinois; Dulce Shull of St. Louis, Missouri; Tanner (wife Natalie) Shull of Hidalgo, Illinois; 9 Grandchildren - Oliver Shull, Case Shull, Brooklyn Shull, David Shull, Natalie Shull, Isaiah Neal, Jacob Neal, Aubree Neal, Ava Shull and another on the way; Siblings - Bradley (wife Susan) Shull of Hidalgo, Illinois; Beverly (husband Craig) Livermore of Franklin, Tennessee and Rosemary (husband Steve) Stone of Glenarm, Illinois; Brothers-in-Law - Mark (wife Jarvaise) McDaniel of Albion, Illinois and Dr. Ronald (wife Dr. Laurel) Woods of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Lynn McDaniel, Father and Mother-in-Law Gilbert and Carolyn Woods.
