Celeste J. Pruemer, 94 of rural Dieterich, passed away Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021 at Willowbrook in Effingham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to time of mass, Friday morning in St. Clare Hall at the church. Memorial donations may be given to the donor’s choice.

Celeste was born October 10, 1926 in Teutopolis, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Kollmeyer) Buscher. She married John Bernard Pruemer on April 24, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Celeste is survived by her children, Sandra (Gary) Meinhart of Wheeler, Janice (Charles) Meyer of Teutopolis, Darlene (Mike) Feldhake of Teutopolis, Marjorie (Dennis) Probst of Dieterich and Wayne (Brenda) Pruemer of Dieterich; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Luella and Betty Buscher, both of Teutopolis.

Celeste was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joseph and Louis Buscher; sisters, Florence (Bernard) Westendorf, Lucille (Henry) Pruemer and Martha (William) Pruemer.
