Patricia H. Burtch age 92 of Newton passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Newton, Illinois. Memorial gifts honoring Patricia may be made to either the Jasper County Cancer Support Group or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Patricia was born on May 3, 1929 in Newton, Illinois the daughter of John L. and Helen (Mitchell) Harvey. On December 31, 1947, Pat married Lyman Edward Burtch, Jr. They shared forty-four years together before his passing on November 12, 1992. Pat served as a deputy clerk in the Jasper County Circuit Clerk’s office for twelve years. She later owned and operated Burtch Abstract Services in Newton for over thirty-five years.

Patricia served on the South Central Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission, the Jasper County Board of Review and past mayor of Willow Hill.   Her memberships included Business and Professional Women, Order of the Eastern and Newton Rotary Club. Patricia was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow award for her service to the Rotary.

In her free time, Pat enjoyed cooking, especially for her large family. She loved to dance and attend the area dances.

Patricia will be loved and remembered by her children Randy (Susan) Burtch of Robinson; Becky (Steve) Weber of Estero, FL; Mark E. (Mary) Burtch of Cottage Grove, TN; Kim (Ed) Webb of Newton; Patricia L. (Tony) Weber of Altamont; Amy (Kevin) Short of Newton; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and one great grandchild arriving in November; brother John L. Harvey of Broadhead, WI and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband Lyman, brother Glen D. Harvey and sister Suzanne Richards and one great-granddaughter preceded her in death.
