Delores Mae “Dee” French, age 63, of Newton, IL passed away at 10:50 PM – Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services celebrating Dee’s life will be held at 10:00 AM – Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Nate Hagen officiating.  Burial will be in the Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton, IL.  Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Monday, June 4, 2012 at the funeral home.  In loving memory of Dee, memorials may be made to the Latona Church of Christ Building Fund.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.blakefh.com.

Dee was born on May 13, 1949 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Wilber and Dorothy (Kent) Dunlap.  She married David A. French on February 21, 1994.  Dee was currently an employee of GSI in Newton.  She had worked at UTA and Parklanes also in Newton, IL.  Dee attended the Latona Church of Christ.  She was a member of the Road Riders for Jesus; ABATE; HOG and CMA.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles with Dave, watching TV and her yorkie dogs.  Dee loved to spend her time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Dee is survived by Husband - David French of Newton, IL...5 Children – Andy (Raquel) McKimmy of Sumpter, SC, David (Darlene) McKimmy of Marshall, IL, Leon Keys of Willow Hill, IL, Angie (Jeremy) Griffin of Mattoon, IL, and Heather Shay of Stoy, IL...5 Grandchildren...1 Brother – Harold (Tonja) Dunlap of Robinson, IL...5 Sisters – Arlene Matheney of Flat Rock, IL, Betty Agan of Palestine, IL, Mary (Ed) Collins of Flat Rock, IL, Alice (Kenny) Coonce of Robinson, IL, and Judy (Joe) Plummer of Stoy, IL...Father and Mother-in-Law – Homer (Doris) French of Newton, IL.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, son Brian McKimmy and a sister Juanita Benton.
