Kerry G. Baker, 53, of Watson, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at his home with family by his side.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021, at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.

Kerry was born on December 16, 1967, in Wakefield, MI, the son of Richard and Ladonna (Ingram) Baker. He married Arletha Cook and she survives. Kerry served in the Army National Guard. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Kerry drove a truck for many years, with the last 10 years at FedEx Freight in Effingham. He enjoyed life and kept busy with projects around the house.

Kerry is survived by his wife, Arletha Baker of Watson; sons, Chris Baker of Effingham and Kevin Baker (girlfriend, Leigh Ann Fuesting) of Mattoon; daughters, Kristin Baker (boyfriend, Tyler Logan) of Watson and Jessica (husband, Austin) Garner of Rhinelander, WI; like a daughter, Kara Curtis of Altamont; mother, Ladonna S. Baker of Olney; grandchildren, Haylee Baker, Haydyn Baker, Aiden Musgrave, Ava Baker, Abigail Baker, Sarah Kemme, and Denise Kemme; sisters, Denise (husband, Chuck) Coffey of Newton, Mary Sue Cline of Mt. Vernon, and Sue Baker of Wisconsin; brothers, Kevin (wife, Noreen) Baker of Newton, and Robert “Bobb” Baker (girlfriend, Misty Brown) of Watson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Baker; brother, Richard D. Baker; and sister, Kristina Baker.
