Judy Kay Henson, 79, of Montrose, IL passed away at 1:46 PM Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery.

Judy was born January 14, 1942 in Burlington, North Carolina the daughter of Ernest Newman and Mary Elizabeth (Allstott) Dodson. She married Joseph Henson on November 1, 1975 in Jewett, IL.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Tammy (Dan) Reeder and Patty Oakley; grandchildren, Travis (Melissa) Jordan, Traci (David) Shore, Troy (Chelsie) Jordan, Melissa (Dan) Hudson, Shane (Beth) Reeder, and Kyle (Michelle) Reeder; great grandchildren, Haille (Elijah) Justice, Maverick Jordan, McCoy Jordan, Trayton Garcia, Lane Shore, Kendell Shore, Kaylie Jordan, Alana Jordan, Grady Jordan, Britney (Damon) McElheiney, Cheyenne Bear, Dillion Bear, Madison Reeder, Blake Reeder, Lainey Reeder, Brooklyn Reeder, Wade Reeder, and Cannan Justice; and sister, Margaret Kremer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred, George, and Gene Dodson; sister, Donna Croy; and great-grandsons Colt Shore and Chance Owen Bear.

Judy knew how to enjoy her life. She was an avid rummy player, loved to camp, enjoyed resale shopping, and could find mushrooms like crazy. She had a gift in caring for people. She cared for the elderly and fostered 26 kids over the years. She was an excellent cook and loved her companion dog Jody. She will be missed by many.
