Edward Leen “Eddie” Brown age 72, of Yale, Illinois passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services celebrating Eddie’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Crain Funeral Home with Mike Woodard officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Yale Cemetery, Yale, Illinois.
Eddie was born on March 21, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Wendell Leen and Cytha (Brumley) Brown. On June 1, 1969, Eddie married Marcia Lee Heffington. They shared forty-nine years of marriage before her passing on September 20, 2018. Eddie was a bus driver for the Jasper County Senior Citizen’s Center before his retirement.
In his free time, Eddie enjoyed CB radios, watching NASCAR and old western movies and playing PlayStation football. He enjoy mowing his yard and working in his garage.
He will be loved and remembered by his children Edward Lee ( Melissa) Brown, Angel Ann (Mike) Woodard and Eric Isaac Wendell Brown all of Yale, Illinois; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; and sister Lisa Ann Brown of Newton.
His parents, wife Marcia and siblings Linda Sue Burris, Johnny Brown and Creedie Brown preceded him in death.
