Glenna Barbara Icenogle, 87 of Neoga, passed away at 1:00 am on Monday, March 26th, 2013 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday March 30th 2013 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery.

She was born in Quincy, IL on August 19th, 1925 the daughter of Harold P. & Francis (Ariens) Shields. She married Harold Icenogle on January 2nd, 1944 and he preceded her in 1994.

Surviving are her children Linda (Larry) Shadwick of Villa Grove, Joseph (Nada) Icenogle of Atlanta, GA, Paul (Betty) Icenogle of Mattoon, Brian (Alice) Icenogle of Neoga and Michael Icenogle of St. Louis, MO; Sisters Kathryn Hollensbe of Martinsville and Nancy Snedeker of Mattoon; grandchildren Ben Shadwick, Sarabeth Jones, Michelle Icenogle, Amy Hand, David Icenogle, Barbara Schleef, Jessica Cooper, Janelle Muchow, Jonathan Icenogle, Kristina Dann, Thomas Evans, Kerby Icenogle, Aubrey Icenogle, Casey Icenogle and Chamberlin Icenogle and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers Byron & Parker Shields and a sister Donna Shields.

Glenna was a homemaker and was a cook at the Neoga Elementary School for many years. One of her loves in life was country line dancing with Harold; she also enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved her family. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
