Gail C. (Van Dyke) Bailey, 59, of Mandeville, Louisiana died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in her home after a short illness.
Graveside services will be held at noon Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham, with the Rev. Drew Holloway officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham.

Gail was born on May 15, 1953, in Flora, IL, the daughter of Logan and Lorna Van Dyke, and grew up in Effingham. She married John N. Bailey in 1988. In 1979, Gail moved to Louisiana where she worked at a long career as a travel consultant with several local firms.
Gail is survived by her husband, John N. Bailey of Mandeville, LA; sister, Brenda J. (Dale) Brooks of St. Charles, Mo.; nephew, Jeremy L. Brooks (fiancée, Amy Rogers) of Lenexa, KS; and a great niece, Jennah Brooks of Lenexa, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Lorna Van Dyke.
