Robert E. Tucker of Grand Junction, CO, age 80, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

Robert was born on September 27, 1940 to Odell Tucker and Wilma Ishee Tucker in Jones County, Mississippi. He graduated from Soso High School and went on to attend Clarksville School in Clarksville, Tennessee, earning a degree in Theology. He was a Pastor for 46 years at Gospel Way Baptist.

He met the love of his life and married Linda G. Tucker in Mississippi. They had been happily married for 62 years and counting. Robert loved being a Pastor, preaching God’s word and seeing souls saved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing spending time with family and friends, traveling, and enjoying God’s Great creation.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda G. Tucker of Grand Junction, CO; son, Ron (April) Tucker of Vernal, UT; daughters, Rhonda (Warren) Dettmer of Grand Junction, CO, Robin (Steve) Harris and Rita (Jessie) Harbin, both of Vernal, UT; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and bonus family; and too many friends to count!

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, 2 sons, 1 granddaughter, brother and sister.

A Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 4-6 PM at Callahan Edfast Mortuary. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10 AM at Gospel Way Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction, CO.

Pastor Tucker and his wife Linda retired from Blue Point Baptist Church and moved to Grand Junction, Colorado. He served many area churches and had many friends and family in the Effingham area
