Larry E. Hankins (73) of Wildomar, California, formerly of Effingham

Larry E. Hankins, 73, of Wildomar, California, died on October 24. He was born November 28, 1946, in Effingham, Illinois, the youngest child of Art G. and Vera (Henderson) Hankins. He graduated from Effingham High School in 1964 and served a tour in the US Army as a military policeman, stationed in Germany.
He is survived by daughters, Shannon Van Buskirk and Andrea Gros, both of California, brother, Melvin (Trudi) Hankins of Effingham, sisters, Linda Rose of Effingham and Kae Whitaker of Sigel; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hankins and Irma Hankins of Florida; grandchildren, Colton, Sara and Dylan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gordon and Lloyd; sisters, Wanda Martin, Faye Burch, Shirley Arnold and Marion Zehner; son-in-law James Van Buskirk.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in California.
