Sharon Kay Einhorn, age 67, of Newton, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family at 3:30 AM Friday, October 16, 2020.

Funeral services celebrating Sharon’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2020, at New Beginnings Church in Newton, Illinois, with Tom Matson officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery west of Latona, Illinois. Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service. In loving memory of Sharon, memorials may be made to the New Beginnings Church c/o Einhorn Family 11205 East 875th Avenue Newton, Illinois 62448. Sharon was born on June 29, 1953, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of William Kenneth and Thelma Elizabeth (Wilson) Ward. She married Harold Einhorn on January 6, 1973, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Island Grove, Illinois. Sharon was graduated from Newton Community High School in 1971. She worked at Alco for several years and was a Mary Kay representative for over 40 years. Sharon was a member of the New Beginnings Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing the piano, and was the camp host at Sam Parr State Park for the last 15 years.

Sharon is survived by: Husband of 47 years – Harold Einhorn of Newton, Illinois Sons – David Einhorn and Trent Einhorn both of Newton, Illinois Loving pet – Katie the dog Siblings – Dale (Marilyn) Ward of Mattoon, Illinois; Roena (Darrell) Dart of Carlinville, Illinois; Darlene “Dee” (Alan) Toliver of Winder, Georgia and Marsha (Rodney) Cochran of Newton, Illinois Several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws also survive.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Earl and James Ward.
