Ralph Edward Fowler, Sr., 81, passed away at 11:56 AM Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his home in Clay City.

Ralph was born on August 1, 1939, in Louisville, the son of the late William H. and Mary C. “Lottie” (Grahn) Fowler. Ralph had worked as a lineman for the Irby Construction company which he was very proud to have done, even having gone to Africa to work on lines. In his younger years he liked to garden and be self-sufficient and growing the family’s food. Ralph was a dancer liking to go the single dances in his youth, and he liked to write songs and poetry. Mr. Fowler was a member of the Moose Lodge in Flora.

Ralph is survived by his son; Ralph (Janet) Fowler II, of Louisville, one sister; Sue Bailey, of Louisville.

Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, 1 granddaughter; Emily Hope Fowler, 1 brother; William D. Fowler, and 1 sister; Sierrah LouAnn O’Dell.

Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and envelopes are available at the funeral home.
