Lois LaFern Hale, 90, of Louisville passed away at 5:53 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. 

Lois was born on August 30, 1930, in Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of the late Delto and Cora (Sanders) Daugherty. Lois was a homemaker and she married Walter C. Hale on August 17, 1975, in Oklahoma and they shared 45 years of marriage. She loved to do cross word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and word searches. Lois had attended the Louisville Christian Church. 

Lois is survived by her husband; Walter C. Hale of Louisville, her children; Ron (Nancy) McGee, of Flora, Karen (Eric) Lake, of Effingham, Michael McGee, of Carterville, Gary McGee, of Louisville, step son; Frank Hale, of Texas. 5 grandchildren; Brandy Yales, of Flora, Heath Sharp, of Clay City, Jerry Sharp, of Clay City, Danielle (Mike) Sturn, of Flora, Michelle (Josh) Gibbs, of Flora, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. 

Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Homer Vernon McGee who passed away in 1963, her siblings; Homer Dale Daugherty, Corine Sanders, Frances Kincaid, Alice Daugherty, Maxine Daugherty, step sons; George Hale, Wayne Hale, step daughter; Carolyn Hale.  

Funeral services honoring the life of Lois will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at the McGriff and Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville, with Rev. Carroll Ross officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning at the funeral home where friends may call from 10 to 11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Louisville Christian Church or Donor’s Choice.
