Amiee Lynn Gura-Lowry (31) of Altamont

Amiee Lynn Gura-Lowry, 31, of Altamont passed away at 11:30 AM Friday, September 11, 2020, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.

Amiee was born on October 16th, 1988, in Joliet IL, the Daughter of Thomas J. and Patricia A. (French) Gura. She was a member of the Altamont Lutheran Church, and was a devoted mother who loved her children deeply. She was also passionate about and helped organize the Veteran Memorial Services in Kinmundy. Amiee was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Amiee is survived by her children, Ophelia Dae Lowry, of Altamont, Oliver Andrew Lowry, of Altamont, Blaise Lowry, of Beecher City; her parents, Thomas and Patricia Gura, of Kinmundy; 1 sister and best friend, Stacie Gura Champaign IL; 2 brothers, Joshua Gura, of Sweden, Justin Gura, of New Hampshire; boyfriend, T.J. Braun, and his daughter, Alyssa Braun; her former husband, Andrew Lowry, and his parents, Maurice and Alta Lowry, of Mason. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many dear friends.

Amiee was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jack and Jackie French, Paternal grandparents, John and Agnes Gura, and her beloved dog, Lucille.

Memorial services will be held at 7 PM Thursday, September 17, 2020, at the McGriff and Triplett Funeral Home in Kinmundy, with Bill Cash officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to an education fund for her children.
