Paul Eugene Kester, Jr, 64, of Flora passed away at 6:32 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the Clay County Hospital. 

Paul was born on December 5, 1955, in Granite City, Illinois, the son of Paul E. Sr, and Donna (Utley) Kester. He worked as a self employed painter and drywaller, he also worked for Chestnut Corners in Louisville. He was a veteran having served in the Marines. He attended the Flora Assembly of God Church, he played harmonica, and guitar, and loved to ride motorcycles. Paul was an outdoorsman and loved to fish , and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Paul was a member of the Flora American Legion Post #14.

Paul is survived by his children, Desalene Hull, of Louisville, Tahnee Kester, of Louisville, Eileen Attwood, of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Zoey Morris, Braxton Hull, Marcel Attwood. He is also survived by his siblings, Tammy Lockett, of Louisville, Marsha Henson, of Flora, Nick Hagel, of Louisville; special friend, Bonnie Moore, of Louisville. 

Mr. Kester was preceded in death by his father, 1 sister, Terry Long; and 1 brother, Frank Kester.

 

Memorial services honoring the life of Paul will be held at 6 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the McGriff and Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Brent Bailey officiating military rites will follow the memorial service. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 5 to 6 PM.
