Randy William Lewis, 62, of Burleson, TX, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

Family graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL with Rev. David Ducommon officiating. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Shelby County Dive Team and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.

Randy was born on December 22, 1957 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of William W. and Lydia M. Bixler Lewis. Randy started farming small acreage when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1976. Randy worked full time for his father in the excavating business. When his father retired, he took over a portion of the business. Randy also farmed 550 acres and raised hogs and cattle. In 2007, he moved to Texas and began working in the oil fields.  Randy enjoyed excavating, fishing and hunting. He married Darla “Devin” S. Jones Stettler.

He is survived by his wife, Devin Lewis of Burleson, TX; two daughters, including Maggie Mendenhall (Mikel) of Colorado Springs, CO; step-daughter, Abbey Walk (Greg) of Effingham, IL; sisters, Lana M. Miller of Shelbyville, IL, Judy L. Uphoff of Lovington, IL and Phyllis D. Allen of Mode, IL; and four grandchildren, including Rendyn and River Dawson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lydia Lewis; brothers-in-law, Thomas Miller and Roger Uphoff.
