Jeffry A. “Jeff” Buehnerkemper, 66, of Teutopolis passed away Thursday morning, July 30, 2020 at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. A private visitation will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Teutopolis Sportsbackers or donor’s choice.

Jeff was born on November 23, 1953, the son of Clair “Tip” and Mildred (Meinhart) Buehnerkemper. A graduate of Teutopolis High School, Jeff was employed at World Color Press for 33 years. Before retiring in 2018, Jeff worked at Prisco as a tech service rep. On August 4,1972 he married Darlene McWhorter. Together they raised three sons. His favorite role of all was being “Papa” to five beautiful granddaughters. Jeff had a passion for travel. He also loved golfing, boating, and enjoyed sharing a drink with friends and family. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes and St. Louis Cardinals. Jeff was a member of St. Francis Church and the Teutopolis Knights of Columbus.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Darlene; sons, Shawn (Kristy), Jay and Lee (Sara); brothers, Mike (Joan), Kurt (Linda), Brad (Elaine), Tom (Cari); sister, Elaine (Joe) Siegel; grandchildren include Bailey, Kara, Livyan, Caelyn, and Ava.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dan.
