Francis A. Koeberlein, 77 of Teutopolis, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at St. Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Online condolences may be left by clicking here

Francis was born March 8, 1943 in Effingham, the son of John and Emma (Rieman) Koeberlein. He grew up in St. Elmo and later served 6 years in the Illinois National Guard. He was a carpenter for 40 years and retired from Swingler Construction. Francis was a member of the Effingham D.A.V. Chapter 7 and the Teutopolis American Legion Post #924. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, gardening and especially mushroom hunting. 

Francis is survived by his wife, Joyce (Meyer) Koeberlein; son, Francis Koeberlein Jr (wife, LaDonna) of Windsor; daughter, Kelly Topp of St. Charles, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and their spouses, 19 step-grandchildren and 25 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Lucille) Koeberlein of St. Elmo and sister, Mary (Russell) Steffen of Lincoln. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy.
