James Allen “Oop” Glenn, 75, of Greenup, IL passed away at 5:05 PM Sunday, July 5, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Toledo Christian Church in Toledo, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday evening at the church. Masonic services will be given at 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery.

Allen was born September 23, 1944 in Effingham, IL the son of Willis and Mabel (Copeland) Glenn. He married Donna Calvert in June of 1998.

Allen is survived by his wife; son, Dave Allen Glenn of Vandalia, IL; step-daughter, Jodi (Timothy) Lang of Shiloh, IL; 14 grandchildren, Katelyn, Summer, Caleb, Taylor, David James, Liberty and Ryker Glenn, Jamie (Robby) Primas, Gavin Cannon, Kiersten and Aidan Lang, Sammantha and Jason Duing; two great-grandchildren, Mason Greene and Robert Timothey Primas JR (RJ); and sister, Ann (Kenny) Lawhead.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Arthur Glenn.

Allen was a member of the Teamster Local 710 Chicago and drove for Yellow Freight for 30 years. He was an honorary member of Hutton and Greenup Masonic Lodge and the Toledo Volunteers. He was also a member and past master of the Toledo Masonic Lodge #834 AF & AM.
