Margaret was born June 25, 1921 in Metamora, the daughter of Rudolph and Anna (Scholl) Heintzman. After graduating from Illinois State, Margaret started a 35 year long public school teaching career. While teaching in Waukegan, she met and married Joseph Fruchtl (of Sigel) while he was stationed with the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes. They married in 1950 and their busy lives took them to many different cities and states, but they finally settled in Belleville where Marge taught many years in the Belleville School District.

Once Marge and Joe both retired, they decided to relocate to Sigel where Marge continued to volunteer at St. Michael’s Grade School. She was an excellent artist and seamstress and many people in the surrounding areas knew of her many different crafting talents.

Marge is survived by her sisters-in-law, Alice Henry of Little Rock, Arkansas and Florence Heintzman of Oceanside, California. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who are sprinkled throughout the United States. In addition to her parents and her husband, Joe in 1989, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, Myron and Harold Heintzman.
