Karen E. Condron, 77, of Effingham, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
Private family services will be held. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to E.A.R.S or American Cancer Society for colon cancer research. Online condolences may be shared by clicking here.
Karen was born on May 18, 1943, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Delbert and Ruth (Kilburn) Swank. She married Ronald Condron Sr. on June 7, 1963, and he preceded her in death. Karen was a veteran of the United States Navy. She was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed fishing, gardening and walking her dog. Karen also volunteered at the Cross at the Crossroads where she enjoyed socializing with visitors.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Vera Condron; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Jeff) Evans, Ryan Condron, and Reilly Condron; brother, Sam Lambert; and sister-in-law, Jane Swank.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Condron Sr.; son, J.J. Condron; and brother, Terry Swank.
