Donald J. “Don” Stuckey Jr, 66, of Beecher City, IL, left us unexpectedly for the ‘dark side of the moon’ on Friday, June 12, 2020.

Don was born on March 6, 1954, in Chicago, IL, to Donald J. Sr. and Fay (Fritz) Stuckey. Don served in the United States Navy as an electrician receiving commendation for setting sail a ship that was dead at sea.

Don is survived by his wife, Kay Stuckey of Beecher City; children, Aimee (Chris) Kennealy of Peotone, Bryan (Bri) Stuckey of Conroe, TX, Ashlee (Stephen) Phillips of St. John, IN; mother, Fay Stuckey of Farina; brother, Bob (Nancy) Stuckey of Mesa, AZ; sister, Linda (Robert) Hollinshead of Farina; 9 grandchildren, Alexee, Emalee, Ellayna, Stephen, Charlee, Matthew, Mitchell, Mikayla, and little Sailor. Sisters/Brothers-in-law, Donna (Ed) Mickulas, Judy Kitching, Maria (Matt) Polchinski; nieces and nephews (Phillip, Lalaynia, Jacob, Ronnie, Ryan, Adam, Adrienne, Abby and Emily) and many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and dear friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father Don Sr. in 2003.

Out of abundance of caution for loved ones a celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later date. Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham is assisting the family.
