Angela Michelle "Angie" Baker, 51, of Effingham, formerly of Windsor passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at St Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri.

She was a 1986 graduate of Neoga High School and attended classes in Early Childhood Care and Education at Lake Land College. Angie was a member of Gaskill United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Angie’s talents were many. As a young girl, she loved buck dancing and playing volleyball. She also enjoyed painting carousel horses and arranging flowers. For 20+ years she worked at Walmart Super Center in Effingham. She was a beloved granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed family and had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews. She loved making people smile. Angie had a big heart for others that had kidney disease and would often call total strangers and offer them encouragement and advice dealing with all the challenges they were facing.

Angie is survived by her parents Charles and Judy Baker of Windsor; grandmother June Morris of Neoga; siblings Debbie (Baker) Cooper and husband Chuck of Charlotte, NC and Chris Baker and wife Tonia of Windsor; nephews and nieces Tyler Cooper and wife Christy of Fredericksburg, VA; Kirsten Cooper and husband Erik of Monroe, NC; Jessica (Baker) Ames of Dublin, Ireland; Rachel (Cooper) Cromer and husband Jackson of Waxhaw, NC, and numerous great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by Grandparents: J.W. “Bill” Morris of Windsor and Chester and Esther Baker of Neoga.

Memorial services will be held at a date to be determined. Burial will be in Gaskill Cemetery.
