Betty Mae Ricketts, age 82, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25 at Keen’s Chapel Church in rural LaClede, Illinois with interment at Keen’s Chapel Cemetery. Brenda Byers will be officiating. Betty was born on March 30, 1937 in Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of Edward A. and Argola A. (Banning) Ingram. She married Leonard Lee Ricketts on April 3, 1955 at Keen’s Chapel Church in rural LaClede, Illinois, they celebrated 64 years of marriage. She was a charter member of the Mason Civic Center and a former member of the Edgewood American Legion Auxiliary post#1168. She volunteered at the FISH/Catholic Charities Christmas Store for over 20 years. She loved fishing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Reg Ricketts (wife Deborah) of Mason, Illinois; daughters, Guyla Pagel (husband Rick) of rural Brownstown, Illinois and Lesa Hirtzel (husband Richard) of Watson, Illinois; twin brother, Bobby Ingram Sr. (wife Shirley) of Edgewood, Illinois; five grandchildren, Mandi Bushur, Travis Pagel, Brett Pagel, Luke Hirtzel, Rindy Ricketts; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Argola Ingram; husband, Leonard Lee Ricketts; four brothers, Cecil, Glenn, Dale, and Dick; five sisters, Geneva, Lois, Virginia, Phyllis, and Carolyn.
