Kathryn L. Hartman, 88, of Windsor, IL passed away at 4:58 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Windsor Christian Churchwith Reverend Patrick Fahey officiating. Burial will take place in Richland Cemetery in rural Strasburg.Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor. Memorials may be made in Kathryn’s name to the American Legion Auxiliary Liberty Unit#289 in Strasburg or Sarah Bush Lincolnland Hospice, 1004 Health Center Dr, Mattoon, IL 61938.

Kathryn was born on July 14, 1931, in Sterling, CO, the daughter of Elmer and May (Ferguson) Richards.She married Howard Hartman on February 9, 1952, in Windsor, and they were blessed with 39 years of marriage before his passing on October 16, 1991.

Kathryn lived a long and wonderful life. She was along-standing member of the Windsor Christian Church and dedicated her life to the Lord, her husband,children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the Windsor Communityand a 70+ year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Liberty Unit #289 in Strasburg. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, feeding and watching the birds and especially spending time with her loved ones.

Surviving are her seven children: Jerry Dean (Peggy) Hartman of Mattoon, Adah (Roger) Mathias of SanDiego, CA, Glen (Mitzi) Hartman of Sullivan, Harold (Mindi) Hartman of Mattoon, Howard (Cathy)Hartman of Flora, Katie (Randy) Caldwell of Cuba, MO and Peggy (Mike) Sims of Lovington; brother,George Richards of Sarcoxie, MO; sisters: Bonnie (Gary) Green of Deer Park, TX and Ruth Stone ofReno, NV and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and May Richards; husband, Howard Hartman; twobrothers: Vernon Samuel Richards and William Josiah Richards.
