Leo D. Sanders, 88 of Windsor, IL passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor with Reverend Patrick Powers officiating.  Burial will take place in Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Leo’s name to the donor’s charity of choice.  

Leo was born on August 5, 1931, in Lakewood, the son of Henry and Stella (Marrow) Sanders.  He was a veteran of the United States Army. Leo and Nancy Baugher were united in holy matrimony on May 21, 1972.  Leo worked most of his life as a carpenter and for the Windsor School District in the maintenance department. He was a member of the American Legion Garrett-Baldridge Post #725.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Nancy (Baugher) Sanders of Windsor; brother, Elmer (Ruth Ann) Sanders of Windsor; three sisters:  Edith (Bob) Banning of Shelbyville, Alice Hardin of Loxa and Nell Sutton of Shelbyville and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers:  Lester, Roy and Paul Sanders.
