Joyce Ann Riley, 79, of Herrick, IL passed away peacefully at 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL with her loved ones by her side.
Joyce was born on November 25, 1939, in Marion, IL, the daughter of Henry and Maxine (Short) Hudgens. She and Steven Riley were united in holy matrimony on May 23, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV. Joyce was a homemaker who adored her family. She could usually be found watching baseball or volunteering with the little league. She was also a proud sponsor of little league.
Surviving are her husband, Steven Riley of Herrick, IL; sons: Jeffery (JoAnn) Ross of Cowden, IL, Gregory (Janine) Ross of Hesperia, CA and Steven Riley Jr. of Herrick, IL; 21 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and brother, Fred (DeAnne) Hudgens of Victorville, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dixie Forunier.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden, IL. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden. Memorials may be made in Joyce’s name to HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospice, 503 N. Maple St., Effingham, IL 62401.
