Netta E. Mills, age 95 of Effingham, formerly of Delray Beach, Florida and Mt. Vernon, NY passed away Wednesday morning at her granddaughters home. According to Netta’s wishes she will be cremated and no service will be held.
 
Netta was born on March 20, 1924 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Jane (Cohen) and William Lang. She married Arthur Mills on December 24, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, NY.  Arthur passed away in 2003 in Delray Beach, Florida were they had retired. They were married for 59 years.
 
Netta was a volunteer for RSVP for over 25 years in Palm Beach County working in the Public Defenders office. Netta moved to Effingham three and a half years ago.
 
Surviving are her children- David (Carol) Mills of Effingham and Alyson Tabot of Danbury, CT. Grandchildren - Kimberly (Mike Hutson) Mills of Effingham and Michael Mills of Chicago. Great-grand children - Dylan Mills and Marci Mills. 
 
She is preceeded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law, Michael Tabot.
